The Birth of Craddock Court

Commissioned as Craddock Court, work began on this magnificent estate to serve as a premier summer residence for high-ranking officials. Named in honour of Sir Reginald Craddock, the Lieutenant-Governor, the building was designed as a significant historical landmark in the heart of Pyin Oo Lwin.

Transition to a National Heritage Hotel

In 1982, the estate was formally transferred to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, marking its transformation from a private residence into a state-owned hotel. This significant milestone opened the gates to both local and international visitors, allowing the public to experience its historic charm for the first time. Throughout this era, the hotel’s original Tudor-style architecture and lush gardens were carefully preserved, maintaining its identity as a prominent landmark in Pyin Oo Lwin.

Modern Evolution

From Craddock Court to Lustre Nann Myaing

Whilst the name was officially changed to Nann Myaing in 1989 to reflect its national identity, the soul of the original Craddock Court remains. Since 2021, under the stewardship of the Lustre Group, the property has undergone a magnificent transformation into a premier immersive retreat. We take immense pride in preserving the century-old Tudor architecture while introducing contemporary luxuries, such as high-end glamping amidst the lush pine forests, providing guests with a tranquil escape from the modern world.
